The Knoxville Chapter of AmeriCorps Alums was founded on April 16th 2012 by Jason R. Scott, an AmeriCorps Alum of AmeriCorps*NCCC in 2006 and AmeriCorps Florida State Parks in 2007.

AmeriCorps Alums, Knoxville Chapter is a 100% volunteer driven organization composed of Alums and current members of AmeriCorps State/National Programs, AmeriCorps*NCCC, AmeriCorps VISTA, and SeniorCorps who currently reside in the Knoxville area.
 
There are no membership dues and members don't have to have served in a Knoxville based AmeriCorps program to serve as an AmeriCorps Alum in the Knoxville Chapter.

AmeriCorps Alums engages current and former AmeriCorps Service Members in diverse service opportunities, social activities, personal/professional development, outreach activities and advocacy.

Service History
To Date, AmeriCorps Alums, Knoxville has engaged approximately 12 Volunteers in 28 service hours through 3 service events drawn from a diverse portfolio of community organizations including the Water Quality Forum's Adopt-A-Stream program, Second Harvest Food Bank, and the East Tennessee Children's Hospital.  This does not include fundraisers, social events, planning hours or anything beyond direct service.  Come help us build these numbers and the heart of our organization.
